After dropping Phoenix off at day care, Fox and I came home and I tried to give him something to eat, but he wasn't interested. The weather is perfect today so I took him outside to the back yard. However, for some reason he didn't want to play on his swing set. He walked around in the grass, tossing his big bouncy ball. He then spent some time talking to Samson through the fence.
Once the novelty of playing in the back yard wore off, he climbed the stairs back up to the screened in porch and spent the next several minutes opening and closing the door leading into the house. That was his favorite thing to do, by far. But he couldn't understand why the screen door wouldn't stay open when he let it go.

He had a great time with the door, and soon he took it up a notch by rolling his big bouncy ball in and out of the house. He rolled it through the back door, then back out again. I had to monitor the screen door to make sure it stayed open.
Sometimes I wonder why we spend so much money on toys for these kids.
