Free Friday Fun

Although it's July, the weather today was cooler and less humid. Wendy and I thought it we would take advantage of the nice evening and roll on over to Homewood Park for the weekly Free Friday Flick. We knew that we would have to get Phoenix home before the movie actually started, but our objective was to let him play in the park, not see a movie. He first spent time running all over the playground - swinging, going down the slides, running around in circles, climbing, running in circles some more, etc. Then, wanting to expand his horizons, we left the confines of the playground to explore the park at large. He wandered to the other end of the park where he spent the next 15-20 minutes picking up rocks. He collected quite a few and tried to carry them all at once. By the time we left, his cheeks were bright red and his hair matted with sweat. I think he had a good time.
