One of the biggest joys of fatherhood is to watch as my son learns new things. You can see his mind at work as he studies every little detail about the world around him. And he always seems to notice the things that I overlook in my day to day life.
For example, now that he's more mobile, he crawls everywhere. I think he enjoys that more so than playing with his toys. But as he's crawling on the carpet, he will stop and notice every little piece of fuzz on the carpet. He definitely needs to inspect our work once we've completed vacuuming the carpet. Who knows? He might grow up to be "Inspector #12" on all the blue jeans and underwear you buy.
Another great thing about being a dad is seeing his face light up when I come home from work. Now that he's about 10 months old he responds so well to everything. I can certainly see that he recognizes my face, and seeing him smile is the greatest feeling in the world. And I thought I was happy before I had kids.

You are a great Dad, Clint and you have a unique way of looking at things. I hope you pass that trait, among many others to Phoenix. He is definitely watching everything and changing so fast. He is such a joy!
